Occupational Therapy for Autism in Adelaide

Neurodiversity-affirming, play-based occupational therapy that understands and celebrates autistic children - delivered at home, at school, or via telehealth across Greater Adelaide.

Every autistic child experiences the world in their own way. At We Play OT, Diana Quinones offers occupational therapy that begins with respect - moving beyond labels like "behaviour difficulties" to understand what each child is communicating, and what they need to feel safe, capable and understood.

A neurodiversity-affirming approach

Diana has worked alongside autistic children, teens and adults since 2011. Her practice is grounded in a deep respect for the different ways people experience the world - supporting each child to build skills in a way that honours who they are, rather than trying to make them "fit in".

How OT can support autistic children

  • Sensory processing - understanding and supporting sensory needs
  • Self-regulation and managing big emotions
  • Daily routines, transitions and independence
  • Motor skills and coordination
  • Play, connection and communicating needs
  • Confidence and participation at home, school and in the community

Therapy where your child feels safe

Sessions can happen through home visits, school visits, or telehealth - whichever helps your child feel most at ease.

Working together with your family

Diana creates a safe space where children and their carers can be curious, play, connect and even make mistakes. You know your child best, and Diana works alongside you - listening, learning, and tailoring every session to your child's interests, strengths and goals.
